Tough Night!
Sarah had a difficult night. At about 6 o'clock we noticed that she was having alot of swelling in her hands and feet as well as her little face. This is not abnormal after surgery but for Sarah, who has chronic congestive heart failure, it's a concern. By about 9 o'clock the swelling was most noticeable right above her heart and up around her left collar bone. Late in the night she became severely nauseated and began vomiting, needless to say, this made for a night long night of suffering. Sarah is very sick today and hurting alot and the nurses said to be prepared for a very hard day and night again. The effects of the anesthesia will have worn off and she will be in a tremendous amount of pain. Her blood pressue is low and if it goes any lower they won't be able to give her the morphine anymore. BUT,we know that God is faithful and He as done a great work already, and we believe that He will continue. Just pray for Sarah, Vicki, and Phil. Vicki an Phil are exhausted but naturally will not leave Sarah's side.

Sarah,
Joshua and Caleb are asking our loving God to take really good care of you. We know He loves you so. And we do too! Joshua and Caleb just think you are awesome. Did you know that even now -- you are teaching them how to trust God more? Thank you, Sarah. Their mother thanks you so much. What a great "big sister" you are!
It breaks my heart that you are in pain. I have been crying out to God -- who is so good to us -- to take away your pain. I will continue to do just that. Through the night. I promise.
While I am doing that -- I'm also going to be rejoicing because of the grace that God has given you to love Jesus and know Him intimately and trust Him as your rescuer. Your body may be sick right now, but I know that your heart is well in Jesus! And I praise Him for that! What mighty things He must be preparing for you to do.
We love you, Sarah. When you are well and up and moving around (which we pray will be sooner than expected), you will have to visit Louisville and play in the snow with us!
We sure do miss you.
Praying that you have a peaceful night of good rest,
Miss Lorann
Sarah - you are such a brave and tough little girl. I am shocked at the difference in your before and after xrays. I can just imagine God taking His mighty and loving, gentle hand and straigtening your little back. I am so sorry you are having such pain. Even in the pain, He is perfecting you and making you like Him. You are such a testimony to so many people.
We love you and are praying for your complete recovery. May His angels surround you and comfort you with His love.
